Rama Navami

THE SRI Rama Navami festival will be celebrated at Oppiliappan temple, the renowned Vaishnavite temple near Kumbakonam, for 11 days from April 11.

While Sita Kalyanam will be celebrated on April 19, the Pattabhishekham will take place on April 20, an important feature of the programme on that day being the Kanakabhishekham to the deities. Musical, devotional and cultural events have been organised and `Putrakaama Ishta Jayaprada Homam' will be performed on April 18.
