Precision of `laya' and artistic creativity marked Amuktamalyada's recital for `Sidhendra Natya Bharathiyam'.

A PART of `Sidhendra Natya Bharathiyam' festival conducted by Akhila Bharatha Kuchipudi Natyamandali of Kuchipudi was organised at
Sivaramakrishna Kshetram, Vijayawada, with the joint sponsorship of Sumadhura Kala Nikethan, an important local sabha. Highly talented Kuchipudi dancer of Visakhapatnam and a disciple of Bala Kondala Rao, the veteran teacher of Kuchipudi dance, Amuktamalyada came into prominence through director K.Viswanath's recent movie `Swarabhishekam'. Her scintillating performance was well received by the large crowd. After A.V.Subbaraju,
president Sumadhura inaugurated the programme winsome Amuktamalyada started with `Ganesa Pancharatnam' and followed with the Narayana Teertha Tarangam `Krishnam Kalyasakhi' in which she exhibited some exquisite postures and `laya' patterns doing full justice to her guru Bala's imaginative choreographic skill.
`Ananda Nrityam' and `Adenamma Harudu' a beautiful composition of Puliyur Doraiswamy, amply projected the dancer's involvement in the `rasa' of the item, precision of `laya' and artistic creativity. In the item `Satyabhama Lekha' taken from the famous Kuchipudi Yakshaganam `Bhama Kalapam', Amuktamalyada particularly excelled in portraying the `Virahotkanthitha Nayika'.
Bala Kondala Rao rendered the Nattuvangam with excellent command and fine vocal support came from Dwaram Thyagaraju. Instrumental support was provided by Ananda Srihari (mridangam), Satyavisal (violin) and Atchuta Rao (flute). D.Chandrasekhar introduced the artistes.
