Ramana Reddy straddled two different worlds in his recent photo exhibition at Munich.

LENS VIEW Ramana Reddy's artistic perceptions get revealed in his photographs.

Ramana Reddy, the artist from Hyderabad now settled in Munich, Germany, is well known for his expertise in various media of art forms and materials. For his recent exhibition there, Reddy captured the spirit of both Hyderabad and Munich. More than 5,000images revealed his artistic perception through the lens. His intention was to experience both cities as an artist from a common man's perspective. For this project, he experienced Hyderabad through the lens, using various transport modes like the plane, car, bike and as a pedestrian. His inspiration is to feel the `Overground' rather than concentrating on individual images or issues. He is preparing a photo installation using more than 200 photographs from Hyderabad and 10 photographs from Munich. The artist says historical structures are witnesses of the past and the future, because of their philosophical origin but not because of biological existence. In another photograph, he has projected the importance of living-beings other than humans. In a photograph of Munich, he sees the similarity between the Charminar and the tower of King Ludwig's church. He also presented a 20-minute film made in Hyderabad. His film looks at life in the city on a motorbike. Though, Reddy has been residing in Munich for a long time, he has never lost his affection and fascination with Hyderabad where he grew up and pursued his fine arts degree. Who can in this contemplative art space tell more about places and people, than a commuter between worlds, which are stamped by most different determinants? Only somebody, who can observe from the outside and the inside, can tell that.
