IDYLLIC INTERLUDE Sneha and Srikanth in E. Sathibabu's new venture.
This actor-director duo has had a hat-trick of box office grossers. They are now teamed together for the fourth time. And what are they up to now? Says E. Sathibabu, a quite, unassuming, low profile filmmaker,
"We are shooting at a private bungalow near Apollo Hospitals in Film Nagar, please come to the location and find out for yourself."
It was easy to find the location as a group of star gazers were at the main gate, trying to catch a glimpse of their favourite actors. The reflectors, the butter paper shields to cut the light and the mega lights gave away the venue. An assistant was holding the clapboard, which read Sri Ram Arts, `Production No.1.'
The film's hero, Srikanth had earlier churned out three commercial grossers with Sathi Babu (Tirumala Tirupati Venkatesa, Ottesi Cheputhunna and O Chinadhana). Naturally the duo is looking forward to the next blockbuster. He was seen in the company of the ravishing Sneha clad in a colourful sari.
Cameraman C. Ramprasad focused the lens on the lead pair as the camera rolled to capture a beautiful moment in the married couple's life. "Srikanth is a young software professional. Sneha too is a career woman. They fall in love and marry. And this luxurious house is `built' by Srikanth. The catch here is that he wants to take Sneha by surprise, so he doesn't disclose his plans. Once it is completed and fully furnished he brings her here to present her their dream house. He does this just to see her eyes light up," explained the director just before the commencement of the shoot.
Sneha walks in with her eyes twinkling. The chemistry between her and Srikanth is perfect and a continuation of their good work from Radha Gopalam, in which they first co-starred.
The director is known for his light-hearted entertainers. All his three films with Srikanth are in that genre. "Besides lighter moments, this story (written by Udayaraj with dialogue by Marudhuri Raja) has a sentimental base too. Srikanth plays a good Samaritan who rushes to the help of any needy person. It is this helping nature in him that brings him closer to Sneha while she was in a piquant situation. We have another heroine Nikhita in a key role," informs Sathibabu without divulging more about her role. Is Nikhita the love interest of Srikanth or vice versa or is she placed in any other role than providing the third angle in a family drama can only be seen on screen.
"We have almost all the leading comedians - Sunil, Krishna Bhagawan, M.S. Narayana, Dharmavarpu Subrahmanyam besides veterans Chandramohan, Raghuvaran and Sudha in important roles in this full fledged romantic entertainer," chips in the producer M. Dasaradha Rama Raju. He is happy the shoot is progressing according to original schedules. "In this schedule we are completing the talkie part and also the remaining three songs which we plan to shoot abroad."
We move towards the director to bid adieu. He tells his assistants, "position sariggaa choodandi" and then turns to us and says with a smile, "Call me later to catch up with some more info on this project." He then turns back and shouts, "Shot ready." And the filming goes on.
