IT'S TIME to revel in the cuisine of royalty. Le Royal Meridien, which has been specialising in authentic food from royal cuisines across the country, now brings to the city an exotic spread of vegetarian delicacies. "Bageecha Bahar" at Navratna, features the fare of master chefs, cooked up from the choicest of fresh vegetables. The festival is on from 7.00 p.m. till October 20. Live music that's reminiscent of the melodious strains of the era of royalty is also being performed to enhance the mood.
Sumptuous spread
THE GARDEN café at Radisson GRT Hotels, presents Mami's Kitchen, a festival of traditional Iyer and Iyengar cuisines.
A vegetarian's delight, the highlights of the menu are appalam vartha kolumbu, Malabar avial, killu milagai poricha rasam, paruppu rice, akkara vadisal and kasi halwa. The sumptuous meal is accompanied by the famed vadams, thogayals and pachadis.
A variety of bajjis, murrukkus and "degree coffee" will also be served. On till Ocotber 27, 7.00 p.m. till 11.00 p.m.
Choice sizzlers
DAUPHINE, AT Hotel Aadithya, is hosting a sizzler food festival till October 20, 7.00 p.m. onwards. The menu, which includes barbecued steak with caramelised onions, grandma's meat loaf, teriyaki glazed pork chops, lamb boulangere, clack currant glazed roasted chicken and minute steak sizzler has been conjured up by chef Jesu Paul Raj, executive chef of Aadithya, who has worked in popular restaurants in New York and the Caribbean Islands. The menu also includes fine salads, soups and desserts.
