Humanitarian gesture

The Rotary Club of Pearl City would provide benches to the Aditya Upper Primary School here as part of the projects it was taking up to commemorate the Rotary centenary celebrations, the club's project chairman, Muppidi Venkata Prabhakar, said at a programme held at the school on Saturday. The club had taken up a Rs. 47 lakh project to develop the Peda Waltair cremation ground, developed a school in Chintala Agraharam, provided a modern kitchen in the King George Hospital and taken up a programme to create basic amenities in hospitals, he said. The secretary of the school, V. Sriramamurthy, and others participated in the programme.
