On a hat trick

WHEN SHE is not busy with candle-making or baby-sitting grandson Aarav (Twinkle and Akshay's son), the graceful Dimple Kapadia is busy doing an odd film here and there. She has scored highly in two of her recent films, "Dil Chahta Hai" and "Leela". Her role was more than convincing, says director Farhan Akhtar, commenting on her dignified portrayal of an estranged wife, who takes to alcohol in his "Dil Chahta Hai". Currently, Dimple, a woman of few words, is completing shooting for Sony Juneja's, "Hum Kaun Hai" at Mahabaleshwar, with Amitabh Bachchan and Moushumi Chatterjee.

Off to London to see her other daughter, Rinke, she still sounds enterprising, "I liked the script of Sony's film, and as you see, I am open to offers, good ones, that is." With "Hum Kaun Hai", Dimple, Bollywood's most glamorous grandma, is perhaps on a hat-trick!
