A variety of biryani and parathas are on offer at this food fest

BIRYANI AND parathas make for a great combination. How about five different varieties of biryani served with 12 different parathas? Sounds great?
The Residency, Coimbatore, is playing host to a Biryani and Paratha buffet fest, which is on till May 15. Biryani from Karaikudi/Chettinad and Kerala are available during the food fest. Any biryani fest is incomplete without Hyderabadi biryani. So, you also have dum biryani of Hyderbad and Mughlai biryani of Lucknow. For veggies, there are three varieties of biryani.
In the parathas section, choose from 12 different types (2 non-vegetarian and 10 vegetarian) cooked on tawa and tandoor. To suit the local palate, you have keerai (greens) paratha, chilly paratha and Malabar paratha, besides the enormously popular mooli paratha. Apart from this, regular varieties like kheema paratha, anda paratha, ceylon paratha, tirchor and jalebi paratha are also available at the food fest.
To finish the fest on a sweet note, partake of the sweet rumali roti. Fresh mango slices and grated coconut will be stuffed inside the paper-thin rumali roti, and served with vanilla ice cream. For details, call: 2201234.
