Dragon calling!

ORIENTAL FARE Diners at Baby Dragon in Noida

After a successful stint of six decades of being in the hotel and restaurant industry in Bengal, V. Saluja Hotels has now ventured into the Delhi market with the opening of an oriental bistro and tea house in the busy up-market Sector 18 in Noida. Called "Baby Dragon", it is said to be one of the most authentic oriental bistros in the NCR.

The restaurant boasts of simple, sedate and attractive interiors and has 40 table covers. The live kitchen is one of the many USPs of the outlet giving the visitors a view of what is cooking. One of the unique features of the outlet is that it is wi-fi enabled, thus providing a free wireless Internet access to its guests.

An emphasis has also been laid on the ingredients that go into the preparation of the food. Most of the basic ingredients that go into the making of the food are being imported so as to maintain the authenticity of the Oriental cuisine.

The imported ingredients help in keeping the food less spicy as is usually the case in other Oriental restaurants across the city.

The Japanese silk tofu, the pad Thai noodles and the nonya chicken curry are a few favourites amongst other dishes when is comes to choosing for a main course meal.

Interesting names

A wide variety of desserts are also on offer. The great wall of chocolate (the name is derived from The Great Wall of China) and the innovative chocolate spring rolls are bound to gain in popularity. The hot chocolate liquid filled in the spring rolls gives it a very yummy taste when it's coupled up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Apart from the bistro, the tea bar also gives its customers a wide variety of choice ranging from the Indian to the Oriental teas to choose from.

The Chinese jasmine tea and the Japanese green tea are amongst the most popular teas at the outlet.

The outlet also offers home delivery in Noida and other nearby areas.

"We have offered authentic Oriental cuisine at very competitive prices and aim to extend guests a truly memorable Yum-cha experience in Bistro format," says Gurpal S. Saluja of V. Saluja Hotels.
