Webaroo
This is not a gadget, but a nifty little program that most of us would need sooner or later. Webaroo is a free software program and service that lets you search and browse real web pages without a connection.
The core program is a pretty small download (5.0MB), once you have this tool installed in your computer or a handheld all you need to do is register at the website and download the `webpacks'. The largest webpack among the available ones is the Wikipedia with a footprint of 6GB, but again, that is a very small price to pay for having the entire site in your pocket.

Insignia Amigo This is what any tech junkie would call cheap thrills. Apart from being a tempting piece of hardware, the Amigo, considering everything, is a darn good MP3 player. First off, it looks great - the black exterior, the sleek looking buttons make it pretty attractive, add to that a blue display that perfectly complements the black it look great. With support for MP3, WMA, WMA-DRM (PlaysForSure-ready), and the ability to display pictures and album art on the display this is definitely another thorn in the iPod's flesh.
