Colourful Massive arrangements to provide state of the art shopping experience

It’s racing to a hattrick. The interest and response it generated last two summer seems all set to continue this year too. Yes, our show is back …and with a bang! Did we not promise to grow bigger and better and guarantee a top class fair with an enviable ensemble of best high end products and plenty of surprises too?

Well, it’s all going to happen in exactly five days time, a lifestyle extravaganza, the biggest one yet in Temple Town. If you are a true-blue shopping buff, then you cannot avoid the Tamukkam Grounds from July 10 to 14 because The Hindu-Metroplus Lifestyle show is unfolding its third successive edition.

Stage set

The stage is set, the spotlights are on and all participants of the year’s happening lifestyle event are peaking in enthusiasm to give Maduraiites a bang for their buck. Installation of 140 stalls spread over 3,600 square metres is going on at a feverish pitch at the venue. The show, we yet again promise — will redesign every shoppers’ aspirations.

All those of you planning a lifestyle change and nurturing the desire to do up your homes and lives in true style, we advise you keep yourselves free and walk into this air conditioned shopping zone aesthetically created in the shape of hangars for your comfort and convenience. Get a first hand feel of what happens when glitz and glamour encounter utility. You will fall in love with the trendy and functional products that will simply not let you sacrifice the small pleasures of life.

By virtue of being an annual trade fair event, some things are going to be common and some new. We have heard that grouse from some quarters. But it is our aim to continue to provide you with the best, latest and the top brands in case you missed them on previous occasions or you want to buy more this year.

One stop shop

You name it and we have it — electronics, home appliances, IT products, automobiles, kitchen accessories, bathroom fittings, jewellery, clothes, furniture and interiors, textiles, art and handicrafts, health and beauty products. There will be exclusive pavilions for computers, mobile phones, electric scooters, crockery items, artefacts, modular kitchens, real estate and bankers. The automobile section will showcase several small to mid segment cars. Kids and women in particular have something to cheer about this year. While children can have a ball of a time at two stalls set up by Kids World, their moms can sit back and rest those tired feet while getting complimentary makeovers, consultations on their skin, new hair styles and other beauty tips at the stall set up by the local beauty parlour — Vinita’s Saloon — this year. Not a bad deal!

The launch

The launch party — a fashion show to kickstart the annual shopping bonanza — got over yesterday (Friday) night with the city’s glitterati rocking to the rhythm and pulse of a colourful and vibrant programme. But it is the exhibition of all high end lifestyle products — appropriately dubbed as mother of all shows — that is round the corner waiting to happen. Planned and executed by the Iads & Events, Bangalore, it has much more to offer than ever.

Several textile houses will walk into customers’ hearts rustling up their exotic spreads whether in silk or chiffon with traditional designs or innovative creativity or the contemporary chutzpah. Well known group, the Thangamayil Jewellers will dazzle the customers with their array of gold work.

Weaving the magic of poetry into pottery will be another boutique range. If you missed taking home some of the exotic items – including corner and centrepieces enhanced with embellishments, table lamps, flower vases and framed mirrors – last year, here is the opportunity once again.

Wide range

A wonderful range of innovative wall décor, paintings and frames, collection of murals and pottery, the Feng Shui indoor greenery collection, home products, kitchen appliances, electric chimneys, ethnic handloom, stay fit health equipment and I-Rest massage recliners — each will not only rivet your attention and egg you to buy but will also offer interesting add-ons exclusively for the show.

The main sponsors of the event, ever since we launched The Hindu Metroplus Lifestyle show have been the consumer electronics major Samsung. This year too they will be promoting their recently launched super high end products from digital audio systems to camcorders to the state-of-the-art televisions. They will not only showcase the unique crystal design LCD TV with full HD and futuristic 3-D vision plasma screen but also offer some discounts and attractive finance schemes. Sharing space with them will be the co-sponsors Maruti Udyog with there new mid size car “Dzire”. For the first time, entrepreneurs from the Jute Manufacturing Development Council (JMDC) will put on show their distinctive range of trendy jute products.

With an unwavering focus on lifestyle and high end products, what will take your breath away is the stunning exclusivity. Every item on display at our show is going to be a virtual stand out. Don’t miss out on this grand and sweat-free shopping experience. There are loads of goods waiting to inspire you to decorate your homes. So just get a ticket (Rs.20 per head) and indulge in the unbelievable shopping opportunity. In other words, shop like never before at this “must see, must do” show.
